Active rfid system|Active RFID: Black Technology in the Internet of Things
Active rfid system
RFID, that is, radio frequency identification, is a non-contact automatic identification technology, which has the characteristics of small size, long-distance identification, and rapid response. It enables the device and the tag to directly establish a connection through various obstacles, and perform fast information reading and writing. In addition, each RFID tag is unique. Through the binding relationship between the RFID tag and the product, the subsequent circulation of each product can be clearly tracked.Passive RFID is the founder of early RFID, which can give object ID and data collection interaction. The development of passive RFID has been very mature so far. Due to the limitation of passive reception of signals, limited transmission distance and low data carrying capacity, it is greatly restricted in the trend of today's "intelligent" era.
Compared with passive RFID, active RFID obviously solves the above-mentioned pain points. With the advantages of small size and low cost, it has the advantages of long transmission distance, large data carrying performance, and extremely low power consumption.
Active RFID works on hospital access control
Research shows that between 1965 and May 2017, 135 babies were stolen from medical services in the United States alone. And babies are mostly stolen from places deemed safe, such as the mother's room. To reduce the risk of babies being stolen, hospitals are stocked with active RFID tags in order to monitor and track each child. When the child is close to the exit door, an alarm will sound and the door will be locked; at the same time, if the tag is removed from the child, the alarm will be triggered and the child's current location will be displayed at the same time.
Active RFID is dedicated to warehouse management
With the continuous expansion of the scale of enterprises, the number of types of materials managed by the warehouse and the frequency of entering and leaving the warehouse are also increasing, and the warehouse management operations are showing a very complex and diversified situation.
Active RFID technology is mainly used to monitor the shipments of pallets, boxes and goods in and out of the warehouse. When the RFID tag enters the action area of the reader, the reader obtains the information emitted by the tag, which completes the identification process of the tag.
It is convenient to grasp the incoming and outgoing situation of warehouse materials in a timely manner and improve the work efficiency of warehouse management.
Active RFID is committed to smart campus
As one of the valid certificates of student identity, the campus card records various basic files of students, which is convenient for the school to effectively manage students.
Access control management for key entrances and exits such as the school gate and dormitory building. When students and teachers enter the school gate and the dormitory gate, they will identify the campus card from a distance. If the identification is passed, it will be triggered and reported, and the door will automatically punch in the card. Abandoned the traditional close door opening method. The system can also record the situation of all card-bearing teachers and students passing through various gates of the school in real time.
Active RFID works on PKE keyless entry system
Auto manufacturers adopt PKE keyless system to simplify the operation of unlocking, locking and searching for cars to a certain extent. It makes the use of the car more portable, and the user only needs to carry the key at any time to open the door and start the vehicle from a long distance.
The PKE system adopts two-way communication between the base station and the key. The base station unit in the car sends an instruction to wake up the key unit through a low-frequency signal. Once the key is woken up, it will send out the corresponding authentication information through a high-frequency signal. After the base station unit verifies the information, it opens the door to complete the identification of the vehicle owner.
The PKE keyless system not only brings comfort and convenience, but also substantially improves security. Through the two-way communication of low frequency and radio frequency, complex two-way identity authentication can be completed between the car and the key.
