Generally, RFID tags can be classified according to the frequency of use and the way of energy supply.
By frequency:
According to the working frequency of the RFID system, RFID can be classified into three categories: low frequency, high frequency and ultra-high frequency.
Low frequency (LF) - 120 - 150kHz, low cost for low frequency tags
High frequency (HF) -13.56 MHz, high frequency tags have higher transmission rate and distance
Ultra high frequency (UHF) - 433 MHz, 800/900MHz, 2.45GHz, 5.8GHz, UHF tags have higher transmission rates

According to the way of energy supply:
According to the supply mode of energy required for the RFID system to work, it can be divided into passive, active and semi-active.
Passive RFID - no built-in battery, works by converting the energy emitted by the reader into power.
Active RFID (active RFID) - built-in battery, generally longer distance.
Semi-passive tags (semi-passive RFID) - the built-in battery is only used by the internal circuit and does not actively transmit signals, similar to passive.
